I distressed the edges with the help of distress ink and it looked perfect in the beautiful background of pattern papers and white resin.

As we come to the end of another week, we hope it has been a good one for you!
Design Team member Evgenia Petzer has an adorable card to give us creative inspiration as we head into the weekend. Evgenia used the "Classic Elegance" paper collection for this card. A few things to notice on this card, is how Evgenia used one of the photos from the "Adopted Ancestors (PA408)" patterned paper as the focal point of the card. Here's a peek at the full 12x12 sheet - it's double sided, so you get the photos on one side, and the black and white floral on the other side of the page.:
The other really cool thing on this card is how Evgenia stamped a white feather onto our blue vellum envelope and tag (GN554). The vellum envelopes and tags (all three colors) are currently on sale on the Melissa Frances website, so be sure to check them out!
Thanks for visiting us this week. We hope you have a great weekend!

There is something so warm and personal about receiving a hand made card. Melissa Phillips is here today to share a super adorable card she designed using the Melissa Frances "The Sweet Life Collection". We'll let Melissa tell you about her project:
"The Sweet Life" collection just couldn't be any sweeter. I love the soft pastels mixed with the darling images found in this collection. Today I've used one of my most favorite images and sentiments found on a Sweet Life journal card.
I added some Melissa Frances glass glitter around the outside of my journal card and a large resin wreath to highlight my focal point.
A bit of pink crocheted trim near the bottom edge mixed with patterned paper and my card is ready to share with someone special.

Today our talented design team member Melissa Phillips has a beautiful card combining our "The Sweet Life" collection with last year's "Classic Elegance". Check it out!
For my card today, I pulled out The Sweet Life collection and mixed it with a few of my other favorite collections.
My background paper is from the Classic Elegance collection ("At first Blush (PA404)" and "Bits of Paper (PA403)") . The colors and patterns tie in so perfectly with The Sweet Life. And I love using a Melissa Frances vellum envelope whenever possible, as they create such a soft background layering effect.
Melissa Frances German Glass Glitter around the outside of my journal cards is a favorite technique of mine and brings in some sparkle and shine.
Thanks for stopping by. -Melissa Phillips

We always love seeing how the Melissa Frances products are being used. Today's project share comes to us from Patty O'Malley who used the oldie but goodie "C'est la Vie" paper collection to craft this 50th birthday card. For her patterned paper Patty used "Hydrangeas" (PA386). With its beautiful taupe background with faint text with an overlay of purple/violet hydrangeas, it is a truly classic design.
Thank you for sharing with us and the Melissa Frances blog readers Patty!

Today we have a beautiful card from design team member Anne Kristine Holt to share with you. She used our Classic Elegance Collection to make this feminine birthday card for a friend. The main paper on the card is "A night at the Theatre" (PA407) which is a fun collaged paper, so while it looks like Anne has layered several papers in the background, the layering is all done on the patterned paper, which makes it easy to create a fast card that still looks intricate.
What have you been making with Melissa Frances? We'd love to see it! Email us at: [email protected]

Today we have some projects featuring our "The Sweet Life" collection, which was designed by the fabulous duo at "Everyday is a Holiday"!
Alyona-lilavadi Savinova is a paper crafter from Russia who wanted to share with us that she thought the new collection is "amazing" and then she showed us this beautiful recipe book (above) and a collection of cards. We'll show you one of the cards today, and invite you to come back tomorrow to see the other 2!
For this card, Alyona-lilavadi used our "Mixed Media Doodles" patterned paper for the 'cupcake' focal point of her card. This paper is really versitile as you can color the doodles with whichever colors work best for your project!
Be sure to stop by tomorrow to see the rest of Alyona-lilavadi's cards!

We love the awesome coloring techniques design team member Sherrie Siemens does with our resin products and today she's used her Copic markers to color some detail on "The Bird Collection" resin (CX831).
Sherrie says:
You can never have too many thank you cards on hand. This card was made with the C'est La Vie collection. The resin bird cage was colored with BG11 and RV95 &RV99 copic markers. I also created the little bouquet of flowers using Melissa Frances embellishments.
