Embellished Box By Emeline

Hi everyone!

This is Emeline sharing with you an embellished hexagonal white box.

The highlight of this box is Melissa Frances' new Metal Flea Market Find Appliques. The ornate silver applique was gessoed in white and adhered atop the hexagonal box. 

The edges of the box were decorated with pink ruffles which gives the box a beautiful girly effect. 

I had to restrain myself from using too many of these beautiful ornate pieces on my box! Look how gorgeous white resin contrasts itself against the silver (gessoed) appliqué. To top it off, I found some silver sequins and added it for an extra kick.

I'll be home for Christmas

DIY holiday houses are such fun projects to make and decorate with this time of year. Today we have another project from design team member Rachel McAffee to share with you.

She says: I covered a chipboard house kit with pink and vanilla striped Sweet Life paper and added a bit of silver glitter around the windows and door. I then placed the mini house on top of a paper mache treat box and added pink tissue around the base of the box. I embellished the house with a mini flag, banner and a pink bottle brush tree.

Tis the Season

It's begining to look a lot like Christmas! We have an adorable Christmas project from DT member Rachel McAfee to share with you today.

She says: For this project I used the vintage inspired  "A Merry Christmas" pattern paper. I simply painted a wood base and block with cream paint, then cut out a square of paper to fit the block. I then embellished the top of the stand with pleated satin ribbon, a mini ornament and placed a couple bottle brush trees at the bottom.

You take the cake

We always love seeing projects that our customers make using our product lines, and this display piece using our "The Sweet Life" collection (designed by the talented duo of Everyday is a Holiday) made us so happy when it landed in our inbox.

Russian paper crafter Elya used a hoop and fabric for her base, then layered our paper products on top of that.

School days wall hanging

Here at Melissa Frances we can hardly believe that we are already in October! This year has really flown by.

As always, our design team members always have such inspiring projects with our Melissa Frances products and we love sharing them with you on this blog. Today's share comes to us from Rachel McAffee. Rachel uses our resin, trims and flowers to decorate this reproduction report card. The finishing touch to the project is our shabby flower clip (CIH024).

A special clipboard project

Happy Monday! Today we have a wonderful project to share with you from design team member Emeline Seet. She says:

"This clipboard was altered with the idea of creating a personal mood board. It holds several piece of my favorite pattern papers of different sizes and is a convenient way to organize loose pattern papers."

 

We especially love how stricking the flag strip of black patterned paper is on this project. Emeline used the 'B' side of our "At First Blush (PA404)" to create her flag.

Another preview from Melissa's workshops in Norway

We've been telling you that Melissa Frances will be in NORWAY September 20-21 teaching at the Stemple Scraps convention in Lillestrom! This will be Melissa's first visit to teach in Norway and she is looking forward to meeting paper crafters from that corner of the world!

Students will receive a generous class kit and will have plenty of crepe paper left over to make a small forest of crepe paper trees at home after the class!!
