Hi creative peeps! Today I have a mini canvas with a fun chalkboard message cut from a Melissa Frances envelope.
List of Supplies
5" x 5" Deep Edge Canvas
Crackle Medium
White Upholstery Tacks
Gesso
Tutorial
First, place the chalk talk treat bag saying under the wood frame and pencil inside the circle. Cut the saying out and set everything aside.
Paint a coat of gesso on the wood frame and let dry.
Paint a coat of Art Anthology Cotton Velvet onto the wood frame and let dry.
Paint Crackle Accents onto the wood frame and wait for it to dry and form cracks.
Once dry, spray Art Anthology Colorations Spray in Warm, which is a medium brown, and Raider, which is black. Let the colors seep down into the cracks then blot with a baby wipe. Set aside.
Paint the canvas with Art Anthology Desire Velvet, which has a matte finish, and let dry.
Paint a coat of Art Anthology Ferrari Sorbet, which has a glossy, shimmery finish.
While the canvas is wet, spray Heart Colorations Spray and let everything dry.
To embellish the sides of the canvas, I used white upholstery tacks and gave them the same treatment that I used on the wood frame.
Put it all together. Glue the chalk talk saying to the canvas with glue stick or matte medium, and use Beacon 3-in-1 for the wood frame.
It's that easy! I love these chalk talk sayings. They are not just for treat bags!
