Little One Mixed Media Layout by Marta

Hello, today I woold like to show you my mixed-media LO.

I created it after our hollyday weekend in May. 

We went at the lake for the first time in this year. 

 

I decided to use a photo of my daughter. 

 

 

 

I used some wooden butterflies .

 I 've stamped it with butterfly stamp and gesso, 

and next I've painted it with Art Anthology Plush - Coloration Spray. 

 

 

 

 

I' ve chosen CX868 Blossom Assortment, 

which I painted a little bit of Timeless and Plush - AA Coloration Sprays. 

 

 

A little bit of texture with AA Dottie stencil and Parakeet sorbet, 

and some flower stamps to complete the composition. 

 

 

More texture with Orbital, Butterfiles sand Dottie stencils, completed with flower stamps.

 

 

I've chosen also this big and beautiful flourish chipboard frame. 

I thought it will be fit perfect to this spring composition.

 

 

I painted it with green gelatos ane Parakeet sorbet.

 I add some Plush Splashes and stamped with gesso here and there.

 

 

I putt this beautiful and so soft GN593 - White Spring Sprung Flowers. 

 

 There is a big tittle - chippboard LITTLE ONE.
I've painted it with gelatos and add some doodling with black pen.

 

 

More doodling here and there... 

And that's all!

Festive Little Canvas by Kathy Adams

Happy Cinco De Mayo! Kathy here today to share a 6" x 6" canvas using a Melissa Frances Flea Market Find Applique, Art Anthology mediums, a medallion stencil, and some bright colored paint pens.  I drew inspiration from Mexican tiles, with their bright colors and geometric shapes.

Supplies

Flea Market Find: Pisa Metal Applique

Art Anthology Fluorite and Rhodolite Gemstones

Art Anthology Gold Metal Effects

Wild Orchid Colorations Spray 

6" x 6" Deep Edge Canvas

Medallion Stencil

Light Molding Paste

Diamond Background Stamp

Bright Colored Paint Pens

Upholstery Tacks

 

Tutorial

Start by spreading molding paste through the medallion stencil, and let dry.  Add Fluorite and Rhodolite Gemstones. 

While the Gemstones are still wet, spray with Wild Orchid Colorations Spray.  To create the subtle tone-on-tone pattern, I stamp a diamond background stamp onto the sides and edges of the canvas while everything was still wet.

Once everything is dry, use paint pens to outline and highlight the raised medallion.

Add upholstery tacks to the edges of the canvas.  Make sure to measure from the center to get them evenly spaced.

Lightly sand the metal Flea Market Finds Applique and add a light coat of gesso to ensure that the mediums stay put!

 

Paint the Applique with Gemstones and let dry.

Add a few coats of Gold Metal Effects letting them dry between coats.

Glue the rhinestones onto the Applique and the canvas.

Glue the Applique to the center of the canvas.

I want to make more of these!

Detailed Tags by Emeline

 

Undeniably, Melissa Frances manufactures one of the best (may I add prettiest) non-paper embellishments. There are many embellishments in the market and pretty and sturdy ones like these made by Melissa Frances are sorely lacking. Wooden chipboards, white resins, silver metallic ones are really beautifully cut with intricate details. 

 

In my project here, I created a couple of tags and tag jackets. Due to the hardiness of these beautiful embellishments, I used tags and card stock for added strength so that the tags and envelope will not look flimsy.

 

 

 

Here, I layered white resin onto metallic ornate structure. The contrast is simply gorgeous. Raw, untreated in its basic form.

Classic yet Elegant Album by Marta

Hello, today I would like to show you something different, than you can usual see in my works.
It's a big photo album in very simple and ellegant style.
It's created for a girl Zuzanna, as a First Holy Communion gift.

I used beautiful chipboard frames.

 

I add Resin Tea Party Applique Set. elements. I thought it would be fit perfectly. 

 

 

 

 

I've covered the chipboards with embossing, using white powder with holographic glitter. 

It works good also with the resin, to increase the details. 

 

 

One more frame inside. 

 

 

Inside, I used a white lux cardstock and parchment spacers. 

I stamped a little ornament on each card to make it more elegant, but still simple. 

.
