Debbie Marcinkiewicz emailed us this oh, so pretty card and we love the way she made her own custom flowers. Here, from Debbie, are the directions for these fabric beauties:
The flowers are all handmade – I cut 2” squares of Springtime Vintage fabric, folded into a triangle, hand stitched along the two unfolded sides, pulled up the gathers to form a petal, then sewed five petals together to form a bloom. The center is made using Melissa Frances cream crepe paper – I used a 10” x 2 ½” piece, folded the two long ends into the middle and glued. Then I just wrapped and twisted the crepe paper until a bloom was formed and glued it to the center of the fabric flowers. The leaves are made by layering a piece of green crepe paper cut into a leaf shape on top of a cream piece and then I machine sewed a straight stitch down the middle of each leaf set and bent the green leaves up to create dimension.
This is just fabulous, I love it!
