Here's a message from Melissa, which she shared on facebook yesterday:
Good news and bad! Good news is I do not have cancer! The biopsy showed there were abnormal cells that would eventually become cancer but they got it out before that nasty thing could take me over again! Bad new huge fluid build up need to be aspirated tomorrow! But I am getting in the car and going home after that!

Melissa is SO happy to be heading back home. She still has a way to go in her recovery, but being based at home is a welcome milestone in her journey! Please join us in Congratulating her ☺
(By the way, if you are not friends with Melissa on facebook yet, we invite you to look her up and become a fan!)
I am so happy for you - what a joyous day!! Thank God for this wonderful news! You are an inspiration to all of us. Thank you for sharing your story.

Hey Melissa, I don't know if you remember me, but you came to Illinois, to one of the Scrapbook dealers convention and put on a workshop with your pink cancer survivor papers. You had very short hair after taking your treatments and I had very short hair, not due to treatments, but stress. We had a super time and you were awesome and the little picture albumn we made was so cute. I gave it to my best friend who has lupus. My name is Syd Egan, and you were are are quite an inspiration, so glad the big "C" (don't even like to say the word to get any credit) is not back in you. You are a survivor and love your paper and stuff, keep the faith and know that God does hear and answer all our prayers. Love you and wish you all the best, hope we cross paths again before God takes us out! Love, Love, Love!!!
Syd
