Kitchen Angel and Recipe Box

Instructions:
1. You'll need a base for the angel and her wings. Mine are cut from wood and the head is a 2" wooden ball. The body is an elongated triangle shape that is flattened at the top top so that the head can be glued to a flat surface.
2. Make paper ruffles by cutting 1 1/2" x 12" strips of paper. The bottom paper ruffle is cut to measure 2" x 12". You will need 2 of each strip.
3. Accordion fold the strips of paper at 1/4" intervals.
4. Start adding the paper ruffles at the bottom of the angel base.
5. The next layer is cut from 1" x 12" strips of paper which are then cut down into 3" pieces. Round the corners on one end of the 3" pieces then adhere them to the angel base, slightly overlapping them as you go.
6. Adhere additional ruffles to fit your base, layering top ruffle over bottom.
7. Cover the very top portion of your base with paper.
8. Cut a strip of paper from one of the striped papers in the pad to layer over the top ruffle edge then cut off brad prongs and adhere it to the end of the paper strip on each side of the angel base.
9. Cover the wings with paper and lightly sand the edges. My wings have 3/4" holes drilled into them, so I sanded around the holes on the paper also. Adhere the wings to the angel base.
10. Apply Transfer rub on words as desired then add a flower to one side of the wings.
11. Cut a rectangle out of paper that is about 3/4" wider than the top of your angel base to make the collar. Round the front corners and add a sticker and rub on Transfer.
12. Color in the leaves on the Transfer and add 2 small rhinestones to the cherries on the Transfer then adhere the collar to the base.
13. Paint the wooden ball flesh colored and allow to dry then paint on the brown hair.
14. Paint on cheeks, eyes, and heart shape for lips.
15. Glue the ball in place for the head, then add a cotton lace ruffle to hide any glue and to help stabilize the head. Adhere a flower to the hair on the angel's head then add a small rhinestone to the center of the flower.
16. Adhere buttons, rhinestones, and brad tops to the skirt as shown.
17. Cover the recipe box with papers using Mod Podge or other strong adhesive.
18. Adhere a tag to the front of the recipe box then adhere twill horizontally around the box, stopping at the edges of the tag. Add a brad to one end of the twill.
19. Apply the rub on Transfer words to the tag and adhere a chipboard piece from the Kitschy Kitchen collection to the bottom right side of the tag.
20. Apply 2 coats of Mod Podge to the flat surface of the box. Avoid the twill as much as possible. Adhere a paper flower to the front of the box at the end of the twill on one side.
