Where were you born, and where do you currently live? I was born in North Dakota and now I live in a small town in Iowa...small town girl at heart I guess!
Tell us about your family: My husband and I have been married for almost 12 years...we have three children...a 9 year old son and two girls, ages 6 and 2.
Pet Peeves: A full garbage can, improper use of quotation marks or apostrophes....a plural word does not need an apostrophe!! :-)
Favorite Magazines: Paper Crafts Magazine, Creating Keepsakes and BHG Scrapbooks, Etc.
Favorite Smells: Midnight Pomegranate from Bath and Body Works, Pizza.
Favorite Movies or Books: The Chronicles of Narnia...the books and the movies.
What time do you wake up in the morning? Around 7:30....I like to push it as far as I can and still get my kids off to school on time! Just don't ask how many times I push the snooze button.
Favorite TV shows: The Office, Project Runway, Sponge Bob (yesss....I know. But it makes me laugh.)
Favorite Season: Fall is the best, but winter comes in second...I love a good excuse to stay home, be warm, and get crafty!
Do you collect anything? Papercrafting supplies... Does that count?
When and how did you get into scrapbooking? My sister introduced me to scrapbooking right after I got married, but I didn't really get into it at the time. Then quite a few years later, a group of friends asked me to go to a crop...after that I was hooked.
What music (if any) do you listen to while you scrap? Sometimes nothing...I often scrap late at night and the silence is refreshing. If I listen to anything it's usually just my local Christian radio station.
How would you describe your scrapbooking style? Colorful, detailed, and textured...I love to mix patterned papers and colors that are a little unexpected. I also love to throw in vintage touches.
Where do you find inspiration? Magazines, blogs, the net...especially decorating sites like Country Living. I also love translating the colors and details of children's clothing into a paper project.
Do you like to crop with others or scrap alone? I have a group of friends that get together to scrap once a month or so. We have the best time...laugh a lot and eat lots of yummy food....we squeeze a little paper crafting in there too somewhere. If I really need to get something done, I'm usually better off at home in my craft room.
How has scrapbooking changed your life? It has given me the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people! It has also allowed me to "work" from home....so I can be home with my family but still make a little spending money doing what I love....gotta love that!
What is one scrapbooking tool, you can't live without? Just one??? really??? Ok....my diecut machine.
What format do you scrap? 12x12
Do you have any organization or time saving tips you could share? I am hopelessly disorganized, so you're probably asking the wrong person!! Lots of time I feel like I spend more time cleaning and trying to organize than I actually spend crafting....and it's still a mess! I think I need someone to come give ME tips.
