Scrappin' those Christmas photos

Now that Christmas is officially past, it's time to start thinking about scrapbooking some of those special photos you took! 

Not too long ago we invited Stephanie Dagan, a very talented French scrapbooker to work her magic with our product line and were we ever thrilled with the projects she sent our way. You will see a few of them over the next month or so here on the MF blog.  

Here's a little bit about Stephanie:
My name is Stephanie Dagan. I live in France, in the Normandy seaside. Believe it or not, I spent my childhood near Paris without actually setting foot in it! It was only after meeting my husband that I truly explored the city. I have to agree that the stereotypes you read about how romantic and beautiful Paris is are all true!
I followed my husband in Normandy and we now work together. We have 3 adorable children and soon we will move to a new house, in an old Norman building that we have been renovating for a year and a half.
I discovered scrapbooking after the birth of my daughter 6 years ago and it's become a lifestyle.
My scrap-style is rather clean and graphic, and it must tell a story, I am unable to make a page without journaling. I love all the atmospheres : vintage or "modern".

Holiday Decor or Gift Idea...

Napkin Rings:
To create these napkin rings, I covered a strip of chipboard with vintage sheet music and chalked the edges with brown chalk. I folded the chipboard into a circle and attached the ends. The crepe paper flower was created by cutting various sized circles from the creme crepe paper, layering them on top of each other and attaching a brad in the center. Then I wrinkled them up, sprayed with spray adhesive and sprinkled with glitter. Lastly, a pearl was attached in the center over the brad. I added a little sprig of berries from the craft store and a resin photo corner. A set of these would be a great gift! Place them in a clear box and wrap with a pretty ribbon for a fun gift.

Supplies used: Melissa Frances: Crepe Paper, Sculpture Applique resin corner and Attic Treasures Pearls. Other: berry sprig, chipboard, vintage sheet music, glitter.

Rumor Patrol...

There have been RUMORS that Melissa Frances is bankrupt and out of business. These rumors are false. Last year was one of our best years ever and we would like to thank you all for your support and patronage. Also I would love to share with you all that my yearly check up shows that I continue to be Cancer free and I thank God for this blessing. Stamped Card...

I think these stamps are my new favorite set! They are stunning and I couldn't stop using them! Here, I used the large border stamp and stamped it 3 times in 3 different colors to create a background on the vintage grid patterned paper. I then used a rubon and some punched hearts on a tag, tied with some string to the card. I love those stamps and am so excited to use them over and over again!

Sweet Little House...

When I got this beautiful Melissa Frances chipboard house, I knew immediately what I wanted to do with it. I recently changed up some colors in our family room and so I wanted to bring that same blue color into the house. I spray painted the chipboard pieces with silver spray paint and them assembled the house. I added the glitter star and tree with some staples. I used a piece of cardstock that matched the frames in my room and put it behind the windows of the house. I then took it outside and sprayed the whole thing lightly with silver glitter spray...it added a beautiful touch. 

I also fell in love with the Melissa Frances flocked/glittered trees! They reminded me of the vintage trees that are so popular and they are just gorgeous! I thought about spray painting them silver, but then I just couldn't change them up! So, I simply tied some blue string around each one and added them to my scene with the house.
