Where were you born, and where do you currently live?I was born in Seattle, WA and now I currently live in Idaho.
Tell us about your family: I met my hubby in Idaho and we’ve been married for 6.5 years now. We have two crazy little boys, Landen -17 months and Logan- 4 yrs old. They keep me on my toes!!
Hobbies & Interests: Scrapbooking, card making, cake decorating, photography, cross stitching
Pet Peeves: when people who leave their kids in the car to go into a store. When people talk down to others.
Favorite Magazines: Better Homes and Gardens, Country Living, Scrapbook Trends
Favorite Smells: Lilacs, chocolate chip cookies, the rain… I’m originally from Seattle, WA.
Favorite Movies or Books: Some of my favorite movies: Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken, A walk in the Clouds, Baby Mama, Transformers Some of my favorite books: The Harry Potter Series, Twilight Series, Gathering Blue and the Giver
Favorite TV shows: LOST, the Office, Survivor, Amazing Race
Favorite Season: Fall—I’m a little obsessed with Halloween. When we bought our house, my husband noticed the showcases above the family room and said, “oh, man, I bet you’re already thinking about what to put there for Halloween.” Yep… he was right!
What time do you wake up in the morning? Whenever my two boys decide it’s time!
Do you collect anything? Memories… hehe… that was cheesy.
When and how did you get into scrapbooking? A long, long, time ago. I was in Junior high when I wanted to scrapbook my Girl’s Camp memories. I never stopped! Although I think I enjoyed it once I got married a little more.
What music (if any) do you listen to while you scrap? I currently have John Mayer, Jason Mraz, Jack Johnson, One Republic, The Fray, Eric Hutchinson, and Lenka on my Pandora!!
How would you describe your scrapbooking style? Full of texture and color.
What is more important to you…getting the photos into albums, or indulging in creativity? Indulging my creativity!!
Where do you find inspiration? Other people… magazines, blogs, online galleries. The way people use product and colors inspires me to use them too!!
Do you like to crop with others or scrap alone? I scrap alone. When I scrap with other people, I never get anything done… I’m a chatterbox!!
How has scrapbooking changed your life? I constantly look at what my kids are doing and think, “I need to capture this and write it down!” I think that has made me appreciate my family and those small moments that I treasure the most!
What is one scrapbooking tool, you can't live without? My glue gun… not really a scrap tool, but it works wonders!!
What format do you scrap? 12x12 and 8.5X11”
Do you have any organization or time saving tips you could share? For the longest time my scraps of patterned paper and cardstock were a disaster. I never could keep them organized. Now I have two large Rubbermaid containers that I put them in. One for patterned paper and one for cardstock. I can shut the lid, stack them, and it instantly “cleans” the room.
