Where were you born, and where do you currently live? I was born in Mexico City, but now I live in California.
Tell us about your family: My husband and I have been married for 4 years, and we have a beautiful son.
Hobbies & Interests: I love scrapbook, paper craft, and listen music!
Pet Peeves: Hmm… I really don’t have any that I can think of.
Favorite Magazine: Cards, Paper crafts, Handmade.
Favorite Smells: Freshly bathed babies, warm clothes fresh from the dryer, brand new scrapbook paper ;)
Favorite Movies or Books: 9 1/2 weeks, Annie Hall, Ahi Esta el detalle, Profundo Carmesi (Mexicans Movies) just a few of my favorites.
Favorite TV shows: I really don’t watch a lot of t.v. shows but sometimes I like to watch the soup operas (in spanish) - right now I am watching Bety la fea (Ugly Bety) the original version from Colombia.
Favorite Season: Summer & Winter.
What time do you wake up in the morning? 8 a.m.
Do you collect anything? I love sterling silver earrings and bracelets and of course lots of scrapbook paper, ribbon & buttons :)
SCRAPBOOKING:
When and how did you get into scrapbooking? As a teen I use to alter my notebooks, boxes, etc, but at that time I had no idea that I was doing scrapbook. When I came to USA in 2006 I fell in love with scrapbooking when I was looking through a magazine and saw all of the beautiful things that you can do with paper.
What is your favorite Melissa Frances Product? Is really hard to choose just one... I especially love the rub ons, paper and resin pieces, and the vintage look of all of the products completely inspires me!
What music (if any) do you listen to while you scrap? It can be from Ozzy Osbourne to Depeche Mode to Cumbia, Salsa etc.... (!!!!!!)
What do you like to snack on while you scrap? Wathever I can find in the fridge.
How would you describe your scrapbooking style? I don't know how to describe my style, but some people say that is a little bit romantic, feminine, and even shabby.
What is more important to you…getting the photos into albums, or indulging in creativity? I think indulging in creativity.
Where do you find inspiration? I love decoration magazines and I love to browse the crafty blogs.
Do you like to crop with others or scrap alone? I have never scrap with people before, so I would say alone.
How has scrapbooking changed your life? It reminds me to pay more attention to the details of life, and soak them all in, and also to record and preserve memories for the future.
What is one scrapbooking tool, you can't live without? My glue gun.
What format do you scrap? (12x12, 8.5x11 etc)? 12x12, Mini albums are also an absolute favorite of mine!
Which do you prefer? Scrapbook layouts, cards, altered projects? Cards and altered projects are my all time favorite.
Do you have any organization or time saving tips you could share? I really need some tips about organization, my scrap area is always a mess...
