Once again, we know that many of you work on your Holiday projects in January, so we thought we'd share one more Winter/Christmas layout with you before continuing with our CHA previews.
It was with great pleasure that we had Debby Schuh as the guest for the latest Melissa Frances newsletter (which can be seen here). Debby is one class act and she kindly agreed to do a little Q&A session with us for this blog.
Q: What is your favorite kind of project? Layout, cards, mini albums...and why?
A: My favorite kind of project is to make mini books. I like that is has a start and a finish...I have the satisfaction of having a completed album. I like to experiment with different techniques in my mini books. I also like the fact the people like to look at mini books; they aren't overwhelming with pictures and information. It forces me to "tell the story" in a concise way, using my best pictures and journaling.
Q: Do you listen to music/watch TV while creating?
A: I usually like it quiet when I'm creating. I love peace and don't mind silence!
Q: What are your favorite magazines for inspiration?
A: For inspiration I read Country Living, Mary Engelbreit's Home Companion (which is sadly no more), Domino, and other decorating magazines.
And here is a layout Debby designed, using the Enchanted Christmas Collection. We love the sparkle that our Glitter Chipboard add to this stylish piece.
Thanks for sharing your creativity with us Debby!
Beautiful layout Debby! I love the way you folded the paper along the bottom- that's awesome!
