Hello there...
I just wanted to share our family's story of being touched with breast cancer.
Our Nan who battled with breast cancer was the greatest woman I have ever known. Through her fight she was brave and strong and never let us see any weakness. In 2004 she lost her battle with this terrible disease after it had spread. She will forever be missed. We were devastated by the loss of her in our lives. It pushed us into action in her memory. That fall was the first year we participated in the CIBC Run for the Cure to benefit Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and we did so in our Nan's memory. We continue to participate and today was the 5th year our team "Nan's Boobsters" was out doing our part to raise funds and awareness. Two years ago, our family decided we wanted to get creative in our fundraising efforts and so we decided to mesh our love of this cause with our love of scrapbooking. In 2006 we held our first annual Crop for the Cure where our participants joined us for a day of scrapbooking in support of our Run for the Cure team. It was a success and with two years behind us we plan to continue to host the event for as long as we are able and people want to come.
Thank you for letting me share our story!
Tracey

I am one of the croppers who has been part of this wonderful family and friend event! I have participated both years and will continue to do so as the cause is close to my own heart. I think Tracey, that your Nan wasn't the only great lady in your family!
