The stories on the site made me laugh so much. My eye is so swollen and it hurts to laugh. lol I have a cute one for everyone. Why didn't the skeleton jump off the cliff? He didn't have enough guts. lol I saw the surgeon today and he is happy how my nose looks, he says I should have the results of the biopsy in a week or so.. The black eye is routine but is quite uncomfortable. The bandage on my head is for another small lump on my forehead they wanted to check out. I am so excited that in two days I will be getting my last chemo! whoo hoo. I told all the nurse that it was picture day on friday. I hope to take lots of pictures so everyone can see where I had my chemo and spent the last year and a half. I am truely blessed to be here to share my story. Thank you everyone for putting a smile on my face today!

Okay, so here's the joke:
Playing Doctor
Two children were in a doctor's waiting room. The little girl was softly sobbing.
"Why are you crying?" asked the little boy.
"I'm here for a blood test, and they're going to cut my finger," said the girl.
When he heard this, the little boy started to cry.
"Why are you crying?" asked the girl.
The boy looked at her worriedly and said, "I'm here for a urine test."

Courage is not the large tree able to stand strong in the wind. It is the tiny little flower that dares to bloom in the snow.
You are in my thoughts each & every day Melissa.

My favorite uplifting quotes are:
"When you run out of fantastic...persevere"
and
"Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to DANCE IN THE RAIN."
If we persevere...we will dance!

This has been hanging in my studio for the last 7 years and I still love it.
"Hope is the thing with feathers -
That perches in the soul -
And sings the tune without words -
And never stops - at all."

My all time favorite quote that got this far in life is:
"It's better to be alone for the right reasons, than with someone for the wrong."
This came from the movie Some Kind of Wonderful.

"Growing old is mandatory; growing up is optional."--Chili Davis
I love this quote because it's so true! Life is too short to act and be old and stodgy. My goal is to be a kindergartener all my life. lol

"Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could;some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense."--Ralph Waldo Emerson

One of my favorite poems is "Footprints In The Sand". Here is a piece of it that I find so comforting:
The Lord replied, "The times when you have seen only one set of footprints in the sand, is when I carried you."
Mary, remember that He is there with you during this challenge you are facing and take comfort in knowing that. You are such an inspiration to all of us and such a couragous woman!

I am so excited for you to be finished with chemo! You are a strong and brave woman! I look up to you tremendously! Here's my quote:
PEACE. It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble, or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.

Here is my favorite poem ever. It was given to me in middle school and I have hung onto since.
You Can If You Think You Can!
If you think you are beaten, you are,
If you think you dare not, you don't.
If you like to win, but you think you can't,
It is almost certain you won't.
If you think you'll lose, you're lost,
For out in the world we find,
Success begins with a fellow's will.
It's all in the state of mind.
If you think you are outclassed, you are,
You've got to think high to rise,
You've got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.
Life's battles don't always go
To the stronger or faster man.
But soon or late the man who wins,
Is the man who thinks he can.
Have fun tomorrow!!
