The stories on the site made me laugh so much. My eye is so swollen and it hurts to laugh. lol I have a cute one for everyone. Why didn't the skeleton jump off the cliff? He didn't have enough guts. lol I saw the surgeon today and he is happy how my nose looks, he says I should have the results of the biopsy in a week or so.. The black eye is routine but is quite uncomfortable. The bandage on my head is for another small lump on my forehead they wanted to check out. I am so excited that in two days I will be getting my last chemo! whoo hoo. I told all the nurse that it was picture day on friday. I hope to take lots of pictures so everyone can see where I had my chemo and spent the last year and a half. I am truely blessed to be here to share my story. Thank you everyone for putting a smile on my face today!

Okay, so here's the joke:
Playing Doctor
Two children were in a doctor's waiting room. The little girl was softly sobbing.
"Why are you crying?" asked the little boy.
"I'm here for a blood test, and they're going to cut my finger," said the girl.
When he heard this, the little boy started to cry.
"Why are you crying?" asked the girl.
The boy looked at her worriedly and said, "I'm here for a urine test."

When I stand before God at the end of my time, I hope I have nothing creative left and I can say, "I used everything you gave me" Erma Bombeck. (I have this hanging in my scrapbook room. I'm off on some of the words but I'm at work and don't have it written down here. But you get the general meaning. I also replace the word creative with a lot of different words.....I love this quote.
Have a blessed and great day. Our prayers are with you.

The Lord doesn't give us anything that he knows we can't handle. I hold tight to this knowledge through my toughest time.

Don't worry if your job is small and the rewards are few...
Remember that they mighty Oak was once a nut like you.

"Our lifes are not determined by what happens to us but how we react to what happens, not by what life brings to us, but by the attitude we bring to life. A positive attitude causes a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events and outcomes. It´s a catalyst, a spark that creates extraordinary results." Looking forward to see what more of Gods beauty will come out from within you, Melissa, when you continue to create. Rejoice!!! You are in my thoughts and in my prayers./ Maria in Sweden

One of my favourite quotes is: "Where love reigns, the impossible may be attained..."
I hope this will make you go further in life.

This has been a great encouragement to me.
"What would have become of me had I not believed that I would see the Lord's goodness in the land of the living! Wait and hope for and expect the Lord; be brave and of good courage and let your heart be stout and enduring. Yes, wait for and hope for and expect the Lord." Ps 27:13,14

Some days, doing "the best we can" may still fall short
of what we would like to be able to do, but life isn't perfect on any front and doing what we can with what
we have is the most we should expect of ourselves or anyone else.
This is one of my most favorite sayings it is from Mr. Rogers
My thoughts are with you.

I love this quote.. it makes me feel like I can do anything. You are looking great, hope you are feeling better every day!!
Nothing is impossible; there are ways that lead to everything,
and if we had sufficient will we should always have sufficient means.
It is often merely for an excuse that we say things are impossible.

Darling Melissa, did you know that you are such a shining inspiration for us all? Your beautiful face says it all! Sharing your journey is so brave of you...and I gotta say that reading some of the stories other brave girls have written on your blog has literally set the tears lose! One poem that I have always loved and which comes to mind now is "footprints in the sand" known the world over for inspiring faith!
Good luck for friday Melissa, wear your best outfit, your biggest smile, charge your camera and feel "free"...we'll be thinking about you! bx

I have the following quote framed and sitting on my nightstand so I see it every morning when I wake up and every night before I go to bed:
"Hope is believing in the goodness of things to come."
Here's to hope!
