A Melissa Update: Melissa completed her surgery removing the lumps in her nose and eyelid. She will find out the results of the biopsy in about 10 days. She has a little pain, but is otherwise doing very well! Melissa finds great comfort in the words of encouragement and inspiration that her blog readers have shared over the last couple of months. She has noted that she personally reads through every comment, and that on bad days, your words give her comfort. Throughout the week, we will be celebrating the end of her treatment by sharing many of your comments with Melissa. Each day, there will be an amazing giveaway, so be sure to visit and comment each day so that you will be entered in each drawing. We will be giving away a different collection of Melissa Frances products each day, and on Friday, we will be giving away a huge set containing all of the products from each day. So...be sure to share Melissa's link and story with your friends and blog readers...we are hoping to make this an extra special week for an extra special woman. I think the photo above can speak a thousand words...can you believe she is smiling right after surgery??? I think it perfectly illustrates Melissa's positive attitude throughout this entire battle with breast cancer. Melissa...you are amazing.
Today, we ask that you leave a comment sharing what you are thankful for. Melissa has noted that it sometimes takes something like a sickness to make you aware of the gifts and blessing that you have in life. Leave Melissa a comment and tell her what you are thankful for...one lucky commentor could receive a complete collection of the Melissa Frances Rub-ons!!!

I am thankful for my family, my job even though it doesnt look like I'll have on next year due to the educational budget cuts here in Ca, and for our insurance. If it werent for our insurance my DD would be alot sicker than she is; we wouldnt be able to pay for her meds that she needs to stay alive, they're $10,000 every two months.

I am thankful for my son, Owen. He was born at 1 lb, 14 oz, 13 weeks early. He spent 121 days in the NICU and had a heart surgery and a surgery to remove half of his left lung. He will turn 1 year old on Saturday, and I can barely believe it was all real. He is such an amazing inspriation of strength to me. He has endured incredible pain, and has beat the odds to thrive today. He is still small and has some obstacles, but he is incredibly happy and healthy. I am grateful every day just to be his mom, and honored to have been so close to such incredible strength and hope. Congrats on your last treatment, Melissa! You are an inspiration.

HI Melissa, God Bless You! I know what you are going through is tough, my mom is fighting colon cancer but she is truly a miracle child. Had she not had surgery when she did she would of died within a month. She is now going on her 3rd year after her surgery. I just wanted to say, don't ever give up and keep yourself surrounded by those you love, and those that love you. I wish you the best and keep fighting!!!
Love, Tonya

Wow! What a true inspiration you are to me. I am so thankful for four beautiful children. I am thankful for a wonderful husband. I am also very thankful to live in a free country where we are able to enjoy so many freedoms. What a blessing! How thankful I am for those who went before and made huge sacrifices, sometimes even their lives so that we can enjoy the freedoms that we do today. May God bless you on your road to recovery.

There are many things that I am thankful for. One month from today, my father in law unexpectly passed away. I am very thankful that we all got to spend the last couple of months with him before he passed.

I am always thankful for friends and family. They are the support system that I depend on every day. People touch our lives everyday - I think that is why I love reading people's blogs. They touch my life without even realizing it! If I can take something someone writes and make my life better for it - that is awesome! I should give them credit by commenting more. Hang in there Melissa - you are inspiring!

I am thankful for my siblings. Over the past 7 years we lost both of our parents (one to cancer). All we have is each other. We are very close and call frequently to say "hey, remember when Mom did this..." We work hard each day to keep their memories alive.
Stay strong!

I'm grateful for my family -- even when they are all home and being pesky. Also I'm grateful for medical science that can help anyone living with cancer.
