A Melissa Update: Melissa completed her surgery removing the lumps in her nose and eyelid. She will find out the results of the biopsy in about 10 days. She has a little pain, but is otherwise doing very well! Melissa finds great comfort in the words of encouragement and inspiration that her blog readers have shared over the last couple of months. She has noted that she personally reads through every comment, and that on bad days, your words give her comfort. Throughout the week, we will be celebrating the end of her treatment by sharing many of your comments with Melissa. Each day, there will be an amazing giveaway, so be sure to visit and comment each day so that you will be entered in each drawing. We will be giving away a different collection of Melissa Frances products each day, and on Friday, we will be giving away a huge set containing all of the products from each day. So...be sure to share Melissa's link and story with your friends and blog readers...we are hoping to make this an extra special week for an extra special woman. I think the photo above can speak a thousand words...can you believe she is smiling right after surgery??? I think it perfectly illustrates Melissa's positive attitude throughout this entire battle with breast cancer. Melissa...you are amazing.
Today, we ask that you leave a comment sharing what you are thankful for. Melissa has noted that it sometimes takes something like a sickness to make you aware of the gifts and blessing that you have in life. Leave Melissa a comment and tell her what you are thankful for...one lucky commentor could receive a complete collection of the Melissa Frances Rub-ons!!!
I am grateful for women like you who bravely share their journey with other woman.Thank you:) You are in my prayers.

What an inspiration you are Melissa.
After having cancer hit our family a number of years ago (my Brother in Law) it does make you stop and think about what IS really important. I've been fortunate to have 2 healthy gorgeous children since my BIL passed and I am thankful every day that I have them in my life.
Keep smiling Melissa!

I'm thankful for my boys - I was an older mum, and had started to think I wasn't going to be a mum at all.
I have to echo the others Melissa - you are an amazing woman with a fighting spirit.

I am thankful for the life God gave me. It hasn't been easy but I wouldn't of learned valuable lessons if it was easy. I am thankful for the husband and best friend he blessed me with, and our two children that make everyday a wonderful journey. I am also very thankful for the sacrifice my Savior made for me so that I can be with him again one day! May God bless you, keep you safe, and may you always continue to cherish life!

Hi Melissa,
Today I am especially thankful for the health of my 4 kiddos. I spent pretty much the entire day at the hospital with my 3 year old. Thank goodness it was only to get a lego out of his nose! But, being there reminds me of all the people who are suffering, and I am thankful for my children's health as well as me and my husband.

I am grateful for life. I'm grateful for 4 children when I was told I was sterile after my first 2. I'm grateful for the life of my Dad, an amazing man who left this world too soon. I am grateful for everyday that I wake up next to my husband and have another day to do it all over again and hopefully do it better than the day before. LIFE!

I go to sleep each and everyday thanking God for my life and all the gifts he has and continues to give me. I thank him for my amazing family and for giving me the strength and faith to live through the passing of both my parents within 5 months of each other to cancer. I am so grateful that Melissa is healing, and that he has given her to us, strangers, for inspiration and hope. God Bless you Melissa!

After having major surgery twice myself by the time I was 33, then losing my young nephew shortly after, life taught me greatly to be thankful for every moment. To always count your blessings, to look for a positive in every situation, even when the odds are stacked against you, take the time to sit and think a while of the good and sometimes very simple things that life brings.
Melissa, you are an inspiration and I wish you well!

I am thankful for my family, especially my husband and sister. They support me in so many ways and I don't always let them know how much they mean to me. Take care - you are in my prayers.

I'm thankful for my friends and family - I don't know what I'd do if not for my "inner circle", and it must be very comforting to know, Melissa, that your circle of friends is so large. Continuing to pray for your complete recovery...
