A Melissa Update: Melissa completed her surgery removing the lumps in her nose and eyelid. She will find out the results of the biopsy in about 10 days. She has a little pain, but is otherwise doing very well! Melissa finds great comfort in the words of encouragement and inspiration that her blog readers have shared over the last couple of months. She has noted that she personally reads through every comment, and that on bad days, your words give her comfort. Throughout the week, we will be celebrating the end of her treatment by sharing many of your comments with Melissa. Each day, there will be an amazing giveaway, so be sure to visit and comment each day so that you will be entered in each drawing. We will be giving away a different collection of Melissa Frances products each day, and on Friday, we will be giving away a huge set containing all of the products from each day. So...be sure to share Melissa's link and story with your friends and blog readers...we are hoping to make this an extra special week for an extra special woman. I think the photo above can speak a thousand words...can you believe she is smiling right after surgery??? I think it perfectly illustrates Melissa's positive attitude throughout this entire battle with breast cancer. Melissa...you are amazing.
Today, we ask that you leave a comment sharing what you are thankful for. Melissa has noted that it sometimes takes something like a sickness to make you aware of the gifts and blessing that you have in life. Leave Melissa a comment and tell her what you are thankful for...one lucky commentor could receive a complete collection of the Melissa Frances Rub-ons!!!

I'm grateful that the treatment for cancer has come so far. My father passed away from cancer 4 days after he turned 64, which is so young, but that was over 30 years ago. I pray for your speedy recovery. You're an awesome woman to share your story and to make more people aware of the signs and the courage to take the treatments. God speed!

I am thankful for my family, my great church, my health, my house, and the list can just go on and on. We are all truly blessed when we just take the time to stop and think about it for a few minutes. Life isn't always perfect and good but the experiences that we go through do make us stronger and they make us realize just how precious life really is. I could keep rambling but I will stop. I pray that you will get a clean bill of health and that everything will be fine. Thanks so much for celebrating with us.

I am thankful for God, Family, health and life. My mom had uterian cancer a couple of years ago while my aunt had breast cancer at the same time. Today they both are doing great with no after effects. :) I am praying you will have the same prognosis. :) Good luck and God bless.

WA-HOO for completed treatments! I love today's comment "prompt." I decided to copy and paste what I posted on my daughter's caring bridge page last month, because it describes how I feel every day.
"I AM SO THANKFUL!"
I am SO thankful for my beautiful children. For the fact that I get to hold them, snuggle them, give them hugs and kisses and tell them I love them a hundred times a day. I am thankful for dirty diapers, sloppy kisses, temper tantrums and colostomy bags. I am thankful for naps refused, peek-a-boo and toys strewn all over my house. I am thankful for "I wuv you too Mom," tickles and never having time for myself.
I could not ask for anything more.
I am just SO thankful.
Congratulations on making it through and getting to this wonderful milestone!

just a note to let you know I'm thinking and
praying for you....had not heard/read about any of your life changing moments until now.
Wishing you continued success in your battle
with this God-awful disease.
I am grateful for life...being able to live
everyday with the people I love: the husband who rocks my world, the children I am blessed to have, and the immediate family members who support me through it all, and the friends who are there for me when I need them the most. Grateful for them is putting it mildly.

I am so glad your treatment is going well!!! This week I am thankful for the advancment of medicine... My grandma died of breast and ovarian cancer and my aunt is battling her 4th time... So they did a gene study ad she has the brca1 and 2 genes(breast and ovarian cancer gene mutation).. so my dad did his and he had the brca1 gene so I got tested, the results just came back and I do not have the mutation!! I was so relieved to know that my children do not have to worry about this gene mutation, as the thought of them having to battle like I have seen my aunt is heart breaking. Modern medicine is amazing and I am truly grateful for it! Now I hope that both of my sisters test negative!!
