I have to say that I have loved all of the fun resin products that Melissa has released, but these new angel wings have to be my FAVORITE...they are so beautiful, and I couldn't resist using them on a simple layout of my sweet niece. You can view these wings and other new resin releases here (scroll down to the bottom of the page).

Carolyn is beyond thrilled to announce that she will be celebrating National Scrapbooking Day with a class at MELROSE VINTAGE in Phoenix, AZ Phone: (602) 636-0300 on May 3rd. Diane the lovely owner of Melrose Vintage and Carolyn have talked for three years about having her come do a class. The stars have finally aligned and they've done it. Carolyn's ticket is booked, the sample's made and it's all set to go. All that's needed is some of you delightful people to come spend the evening with her.
Carolyn says: 'If you've never been to Melrose Vintage you're in for a treat. I can honestly say that I have never been in a store like it before. It's inspiration on hyper drive. Imagine the home you'd like to have, full of Shabby Chic furniture, beautiful crystal chandeliers and vignettes that inspire you to accessorize and style your own home. But wait, then you round a corner and behold, a carefully selected assortment of scrapbooking products is also available. Specializing in shabby chic and vintage products, Melrose Vintage's scrapbooking department is a hidden jewel for those who adore romantic, vintage style. Can you tell that I love this store?!! I'm sure you'll find it as wonderful as I do'.
I invite you to join me on Saturday May 3rd from 6:30 - 9:30PM. We will have the store to ourselves and Diane will host us in perfect style. Our class? Designed specifically for those who love vintage shabby, the 'Glittery Memory Board' class is a delight. We'll be working with gesso, acrylic paint, scrapbooking papers, a charcoal pencil, luscious ribbons, German glass glitter, vintage ledger and book pages, a set of classic brocade acrylic stamps and crepe paper. You will learn background collage techniques in addition to 2 different ways to create those popular rosettes that are used frequently in shabby chic projects. Each student will have the choice between completing the project in two different color schemes; soft and pastel, or bold and vintage. Your finished project will be a home decor piece that will look beautiful hung on a wall or door. For those of you who are local, Diane has the class sample in the store if you'd like to check it out!
To register please call Melrose Vintage at (602) 636.0300. Class cost is $65

There are no words to express how grateful I am to the response of the” Thankful” line.
After only 3 weeks we have had to reorder. I am so touched that my life experience with Breast Cancer has effected so many. With your continued support and part of the proceeds going to BreastCancer.org we will work together to support the fight!

I went shopping for a birthday present the other day, and when I looked at all of the gift bags, I was disgusted at the high prices and cheesy designs. I picked up a bulk package of the plain Kraft gift bags, and decided that with my ever growing stash of scrapbooking supplies, I could throw together some attractive (and inexpensive) gift bags in no time at all! This sweet bag created by Melissa Phillips is a perfect example...

Here is a quick idea for all of you cardmakers out there...
Most of the Melissa Frances collections have coordinating tags that are super easy to use. Simply align three tags and sew them together, then cut a piece of cardstock slightly larger than the tags and sew the tags to the left side to create a card. Tie ribbons through each of the tags, add a few embellishments, and you've got a unique card.

VICKI: My name is Vicki Harvey. I live near Minneapolis, Minnesota with my husband Bill and our three children, Erin, Brennan and Kendall. I started scrapping just after Kendall was born. I began as a way to get all of my photos into albums. Little did I know that I would take more photos than ever and that each and every one of them didn’t need to be in an album. Scrapbooking has truly become my passion and I absolutely love using the products created by Melissa Frances. I have been privileged to have my work published in numerous scrapbooking magazines and idea books and I was a 2005 inductee into the Creating Keepsakes Hall of Fame. I am thrilled and humbled to be part of this team! Visity my blog at www.vickiharvey.blogspot.com
DANIELLE: Hi! My name is Danielle Flanders. I'm so very honored to be asked to join the Melissa Frances team! My husband and I reside in Upstate N.Y. with our 2 daughters, Taylor, age 8 and Kati, age 2. Originally I'm a Midwest girl. I fell in love with scrapbooking when Taylor was born 8 years ago when I started a baby book for her, and it quickly grew into something more for me! Now it is definitely a passion of mine, a creative outlet, and I love to try new techniques and sneak in time to make things every chance I get! My recent obsession is card making, but I also love creating altered projects and pages of special memories that my girls will be able to keep forever. In the last year I have been fortunate enough to have my work published in several magazines. I currently design for Pink Paislee, Prima Hybrid, Create My Keepsake, and Right at Home Scrapbooking. Please visit my blog at http://www.danielleflanders.blogspot.com I am so excited to have this opportunity to share my work with you and to work with these amazing products and talented team
BECKY: I'm married to tom, we have 4 grown kids, 7 grandkids, 2 dogs and a happy little life! I'm thrilled to be a part of the Melissa Frances design team! I've admired mf for a long time...I remember at least 3 years ago, emailing Carolyn to ask where I could find product! I love taking photos, about equally to creating paper art and especially scrapbook pages. I also enjoy blogging, both having one (www.beckynovacek.typepad.com) and reading blogs. I'm living the life I dreamed of and although life is never going to be perfect this side of heaven, I'm in a happy season!
RANJINI: I describe myself as a fairy godmother, magical glitter dust keeper, story teller, dreamer, tea-taker and artist. I love combining vintage finds with new products to create something unexpected. My favorite activity, aside from savoring a hot cup of tea and curling up with a book or a magazine, is to comb flea markets and antique stores for the perfect treasure to utilize in my next project. What appeals to me about the paper arts is the journey - I find ultimate satisfaction in the process and act of creating art. My belief is that all the art we make is an expression of the beauty and inspiration we see around us. The world is an unlimited source of inspiration and creativity, and I am enjoying the journey I am on. Beyond this, I am a fulltime insurance professional working for a large commercial insurer. I am also a mommy to a very cherished little girl, Alekha. I am married to Bobby, my husband of 14 years - who good-naturedly puts up with "the scrapbook stuff" overflowing in every room of the house and who knows where to find me by following the trail of glitter I leave behind. I am also the creator and owner of scrapologie.com, where I have been blessed with the opportunity to coordinate offerings of lovely projects and kits. And now I am honored to be able to say: I design for Melissa Frances. I am so honored to work with a company whose vision of beauty and quality is aligned with my own. It's a dream come true for me. You can find out more about me and my work on my blog: http://www.scrapologie.blogs.com
