Hey Crafty Friends,  Phyllis here today to share my latest Design Team Project with you!

I really love Melissa Frances chipboard and wood pieces,  you can paint,  spray or use embossing powder to add to your projects!

I heat embossed MF birdcage chipboard and then placed some flowers on it.  I also used MF Blossom resin pieces and heat embossed them and then used Gesso to tone down the color.

To frame the picture I used MF oval frame and heat embossed it with a couple different powders.

Here I heat embossed MF Family chipboard with a couple powders.

I did alot of heat embossing!  Again heat embossing on MF wood heart piece.

Accordion Envelope Collage by Emeline

I've always been intrigued by envelopes and what's in store in each envelopes. I love making envelopes. At times, I'll open up trace a pre-made envelope with my own pattern paper. Other times, 

I use die cuts for mini envelopes and in today's post, I used the Silhouette die cut machine to cut out envelopes using Melissa Frances pattern papers. 

I attached a long strip of pattern paper onto the edge of the envelope and folded it in accordion style. 

Each page displays a collage of ephemera, chipboard and Melissa Frances signature white resins.

I attached 2 envelopes on each ends of the accordion. Simply love how it folds neatly and snugly. 

Here's a closer look of the little treasures of each page. With a Thanksgiving theme in mind, I adhered  sentiments relating to the theme. White resins cannot go wrong in embellishing busy looking projects like this. They just add elegance!

Beautiful Mixed Media Scrapbook Layout by Phyllis

I love creating with the Wood Embellishments.  On my layout I used the Arch Fence,  I left it natural but you can use embossing powders,  sprays and paints.  I also used Heart Set wood embellishments.

Start of with a white card base and add your first piece of patterned paper, leaving a small border around the card, approximately 1/4".

I added some die cuts to the back of the next layer and popped it up with a piece of cardboard for dimension.

Loved this cute bird cage and flourishes with birds sitting on them so I centered it on the card and hot glued it in place.

The next step was to add the resin rose scroll to the bottom of the birdcage.

Embellish as desired.

Creating with Chipboard and Wood Veneers by Debbie

Hi friends!  Debbie with you today sharing a layout that I created wit Melissa Frances Chipboard Frame 8 and Pocket Watch Wood embellishments.

So to begin this layout you are going to start with you background first.

I used a doily stencil to add modeling paste to my paper and then allowed it to dry completely.

I sprayed the background with some mist and adhered my photo mats, fussy cut flowers & burlap.

I cut the frame in half so I could add a piece to the top and one to the bottom.

I altered the frame by painting it and then embossing it with copper embossing powder.  I then tucked it up under the top mat and photo.

The final sep was to add a little spray to the frame, I used a light pink color and and then heat set again.  This allows the mist to get into the embossing powder and give it a fabulous texture and shimmer. You Can see it in this photo.

To finish your layout add flowers and and the Pocket Watch Wood embellishments.

Glass Dome Home Decor by Eemeline

Hi all. 

This is Emeline showcasing my project today. 

 

The clear glass dome encapsulated an embellished white resin with textural ruffles. Elegance Frame Appliqué framed a sticker and I simply love how its quiet elegance brings beauty to a simple home decor piece.  

 

 

 

On a closer look, layers of ruffle and trims encircles the scallop chipboard base. Pretty trims completes the look and effectively gives a handmade look to this table top display. 

 

 

Awesome canvas by Anna Komenda

Hello Melissa Frances fans. It's Anna here with my newest project created with Melissa Frances goodies.
I created this mixed media canvas with a picture of my nephew. I wanted it to be cheerful and vivid but also boyish.

I created a mixed media background using some great Art Anthology paints and mists. I used my favourite color palette - blue, yellow and lime green.

 

I chose this gear border as a background for my picture. It's a chipboard piece that comes in brown color. I painted it with gesso to light it up and then I applied navy paint.

 

 

One of the frames from Polaroid Hearts Set was just perfect to highlight part of the picture. I covered it with white embossing powder and heated it with heat gun. It's really cool way to color up Your wooden elements.

Chalkboard Canvas by Kathy

 Hi creative peeps! Kathy here to show you a chalkboard canvas to go with this mini canvas I made for the blog last month.  I love the messages on Melissa's Chalk Talk Treat Bags and wanted to give these cute canvases to my daughter for her dorm room.

Tutorial

Cut the saying out of the envelope and set aside.

 

 

Paint the canvas with a coat of Art Anthology Desire Velvet, which has a matte finish.  When that dries, paint with Ferrari Sorbet, which has a shiny finish. 

 

 

Use a distress tool on the edges of the saying to rough them up a bit.

 

 

Glue the chalk talk saying to the canvas using gloss gel then cover the top and sides of the canvas with the gel.  This will seal it and protect the paper while giving the canvas a glossy finish.

 

 

Paint the tacks and resin butterfly with Crackle accents and let dry until cracks form.

Spray the butterfly with Heart Colorations Spray and the tacks with Raider Colorations Spray to bring out the cracks. Wipe any excess spray off.   The butterfly needed more color so I added Ferrari to it and wiped a bit of away.     Glue the butterfly to the canvas using Zip Dry liquid adhesive.   Hammer the tacks into the edges of the canvas.     Here is the finished canvas.       Thank you for visiting the blog today!  Make sure to visit the new and improved Melissa Frances website. Triple frame with Anna Komenda

Hello everyone. It's Anna here with my newest project created with Melissa Frances wooden elements.

But first - have You seen the new site? It looks fabulous.And all those wonderful products... I am speachless.

My project was inspired by the chipboard frames. I have few of them in my DT pack and I thought that they would look great combined as a one triple frame.

I used this, this and this chipboard frame and connected them with a white twine using hot glue gun.

I painted the frames on blue and pink colors, because I am not a fan of vintage look.

I used three pictures of my daughter Gabrysia from one photo session. She looked so cute and girly then and I wanted to highlight it by adding flowers and pastel colors.

I also added word "beautiful". This is a wooden element coverd with white embissing powder. I added too much of embossing ink and my powder just falled out in some places but I really liked this effect. It is one of those accidental discoveries :)
