I went thru my stash and found some beautiful lace trims that went perfectly for this wall hanging.
Below are more up close pictures!
I love lots of texture so I layered with lace trim, flowers, chipboard pieces, buttons, doilies, clothes pin, pearl trim and some fiber trim.
I made a pinwheel to back the wooden veneer heart and painted it with Art Anthology's Gemstones Garnet. I also mixed Art Anthology's Stone Effects Sandstone, Metal Effects Gold and Velvet Cotton Candy for the Melissa Frances chipboard frame.
(This layout features papers from our Fresh Twist and Thankful collections, along with our Attic Treasures die cuts.)
Today we have a real treat for you. The very talented Mariya from Russia shared some of her creations featuring the Melissa Frances product line with us, and we wanted to in turn, share them with you! Mariya says:
I live in St. Petersburg. My joy is my daughter, who makes me happy all day. And when she goes to bed, I do scrapbooking. And I embroider a little - a little, because I have no time :-)
As you can see with the layouts here, Mariya has a beautiful style and loves to layer her embellishments and page accents.
(This layout features our Pearl paper from the 5th Avenue Collection)
(This layout features papers from our C'est la Vie and Vintage Posey Collections)
(And this layout features paper from our Thankful collection.)
Be sure to come back on Friday to see some of Mariya's beautiful cards.
If you have a project that you'd like to share with our readers, we invite you to email it to us at: email@example.com (Please note, this is a new email address as we'd been having problems with our previous server. Thank you.)
Our friends over at the Scrappy Gourmet are selling a limited edition kit to make an adorable Melissa Frances mini album which they have called "Letters to my Daughter". Designed by Sheila Rumney, this kit features the beautiful "Vintage Posey" collection along with our "C'est la Vie" line.
Please visit here for the complete list of the kit contents, more preview photos and to purchase it. But be forewarned, I don't think that there are many kits left!!
We received this project from Filipino designer Wendy Kwok and were in love with the way she combined 5 of our Melissa Frances collections to make this beautiful layout.
When we design our paper collections we keep in mind that we want them to mix and match thereby giving more design options, but this layout truly puts our goal to the test! Here, Wendy combines papers from the Attic Treasures Vol.3, Vintage Posey, C'est la Vie, 5th Avenue, and original Attic Treasures Collections.
Wendy shared: My fave part of this layout is the layering of papers which shows how well the range of papers goes together
Thanks for sharing your creativity, and how the Melissa Frances papers can be mixed, with us today Wendy!

We have two great projects from Mona Pendleton to share with you today. Both of them combine some current Melissa Frances goodies with some older discontinued products. The first, is this super adorable shabby-styled house covered with papers from our Vintage Posey Collection, which is now retired. We've often seen these houses decorated for the holiday season, and we appreciate how fresh and summery the house looks when decorated with our light, floral papers.
The second project from Mona is this pretty greeting card. She combined the neutral Anastasia paper from our Attic Treasures Collection with a floral paper from the Vintage Posey Collection. Thanks Mona!
