Where were you born, and where do you currently live? I was born in Salt Lake City, UT and after a few moves to other places, we are now back in the Salt Lake valley again.
Tell us about your family: I have been married to my hubby, Ryan, for 12 years and we have 3 kids that are my inspiration and my challenge all at the same time! Madisyn is 7, Hudson is 5 and Jaxon will be 2 years old in January.
Pet Peeves: Whining from the kiddos, being stuck in traffic, waiting in line at Target (hehehehe).
Favorite Magazines: BHG Scrapbooks, etc., BHG Storage & DIY, Creating Keepsakes.
Favorite Smells: Fresh baked cookies! :)
Favorite Movies or Books: I love the Notebook and StepMom.
What time do you wake up in the morning? My kiddos usually wake me up anywhere from 7-8 a.m. (although they wake me up all through the night too!)
Favorite TV shows: I love Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, 24, Lost, FlashForward, So You Think You Can Dance and I'm sure there are more. I always record them and watch them while I scrapbook.
Favorite Season: I love Fall...the leaves changing colors, the crispness in the air, the football games, the break in the heat, cute fall clothes...love the fall!
Do you collect anything? I have been into collecting letters for such a long time. I have so many 'R's and some W's and each of the kids initials too. Lately, I've been into collecting vintage apothecary bottles & vintage ephemera.
When and how did you get into scrapbooking? My older sister was into it when I was in High School but I could never get into the stickers and cardstock thing. Then, when I was pregnant with Madisyn, I found Two Peas website from a link on a pregnancy expecting message board and I was hooked!
What music (if any) do you listen to while you scrap? Usually just random music on one of my playlists...love the likes of Ingrid Michelson...they make me happy.
How would you describe your scrapbooking style? I love to add lots of details to my projects...clean, graphic style with lots of little details.
Where do you find inspiration? From everywhere! Lately, I've been very inspired by flickr, etsy, photography and magazines.
Do you like to crop with others or scrap alone? I haven't been to a crop for so long! It's so hard for me to pack things up - I feel like I need to take my whole room. So, alone or with a good friend.
How has scrapbooking changed your life? Wow - how has it not! It's opened up new doors for me, new ways to challenge myself and grow, many new friendships and a creative outlet that has helped me in so many ways. I love this art...I love this hobby!
What is one scrapbooking tool, you can't live without? Cardstock...and punches...and string...and stamps...and ink...lol!
What format do you scrap? 12x12
Do you have any organization or time saving tips you could share? When we moved in February, it was a great opportunity for me to re-organize items in my room. With the help of a friend, we organized all like items together and it has made a huge difference for me. Now, I can go to one drawer for all my border punches, one for my circle punches...a basket for my rubons, a tray for my ledger/notebook papers, etc. It has been wonderful!
